24 HOURS IN GLEN ELLEN

A local’s guide to sip, savor and more…

At Abbot’s Passage, we call Glen Ellen our home. It’s a charming, bohemian enclave of Sonoma with a little bit of flavor for everyone, and we like to think it’s our best kept secret. Summer is officially here, and we know you’re ready to venture out and soak up every ounce of sunshine. So use this guide on your next visit and come and eat, sip, and explore like the locals.

Les Pascales Patisserie

Variety of french pastries in display cases

Start your day at Les Pascales Patisserie, a hidden gem and local favorite just minutes away from AP. Chef Pascal brings a deep love for the art of French pastry-making, and the Patisserie offers ever-popular artisanal bread, pastries (we love the almond croissant), macarons, coffee, and so much more. Listen to Chef Pascal speak French in the kitchen, and feel like you’ve been transported to a cafe in the middle of France.

Sonoma Botanical Garden

After you savor Les Pascales take a drive across the valley floor to Sonoma Botanical Garden, where East meets West in a woodland experience. Prepare your oohs and aahs as you admire a myriad of colorful summer blooms like the pretty water lotus, vibrant lilium speciosa & blue evergreen hydrangea, feeling refreshed by the delightful water features along the Garden’s varied topography. Enjoy a self-guided leisurely walk, or hike to see expansive views.

It goes without saying that we’re the perfect stop to add to your day thanks to our Rhone-style field blend wines and signature experiences. Show a bit of your competitive side on our shuffleboard courts, indulge in our grazing boards, or learn all about the details of our winemaking on a field blend tour. There’s something for everyone!

Glen Ellen Star

We like to arrive at “The Star” right when they open at 5pm. There’s something magical about the first seating in this restaurant and watch it come alive around you. They specialize in a wood-fire cooking technique that brings out the best flavors of their California inspired dishes.
